Wellness is the dynamic process of achieving your maximum potential in your overall health.

Small, simple changes to your everyday habits can make a big difference in how you feel, look and function.

Try incorporating some of the tips found here and feel the difference! The tips below provide suggestions for activities that contribute to overall health and wellness:

  • Get moving!  Build more physical activity into your daily routine. Take the stairs instead of the elevator or park further away from your office. Your body won't know the difference if you're at the gym or taking a walk on your lunch break.

  • Stop Smoking  Commit to a smoking cessation program and a tobacco free lifestyle.

  • Eat Healthier  Make half of your plate fruits and veggies. Limit highly processed foods and items with added sugar.

  • Stay Hydrated  Drinking enough water is key to feeling energized.

  • Rest  Sleep plays an important role in your physical health. Ensure that you're receiving at least 7 hours of sleep per night for good health.

  • Dental  Studies show that dental health and chronic illness are closely related. Taking care of   your teeth now can prevent hard-to-treat health issues later on.

  • Limit Soda  Reduce your consumption of sugary soda and energy type drinks.

  • Reduce Stress  Ensure that you're engaging in activities that are enjoyable and help you relax.  Enjoy the outdoors and get some sunshine, as vitamin D is an important immune booster.
